Yellowstone inspiration!

The photo I chose for this blog post is the eighth photo down in the article. The photo is of an elk standing in the rising steam of castle geyser at sunrise. This photo is backlit. The photo was taken by jim Zuckerman. I really like this photo because it is soft yet powerful. The beauty and simplicity of the photo is inspiring and makes me even more excited for our class trip to Yellowstone National Park!

Alaska

This photo was taken by Mike Criss at the wildlife conservation center in Alaska. I like this picture because it is not taken from the basic angle that most wildlife photography is taken. He said that he used a Canon for these shots but did not go into the specifics. Another reason I choose this shot is, my group is planning a trip to Alaska and I thought it would be interesting to add a photo taken in Alaska.
